SW REC | Assignment Change Request Form for Greater Houston | 2025-2026
PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE SUBMITTING:
After you have received your child's REC assignment, this form is an opportunity to request an assignment change. Please note that
submitting this ACR form does not trigger or guarantee a change in your child's assignment. Parents are requested to follow these steps:
1. Complete this ACR form ONLY if you feel your current assignment will result in your child not being able to attend REC regularly. For many parents, receiving your second preference is a valid scenario and we sincerely request you accept your second preference, if possible.
2. Check your inbox (spam too) to ensure you have received a confirmation email. Your request will be reviewed internally.
3. Taking center capacity into consideration, you will be informed of the decision via email within 7-10 days. If your assignment was changed, then you are all set! If your RE assignment remains the same, we request you to send your child to the assigned RE center for the upcoming academic year.
4. Please submit this form
only once per child. Submitting multiple entries for the same transfer request will delay resolution, as it pushes your request further down in the queue.
Please note that due to the growing Jamat in the Greater Houston area, it may not be possible for every parent to receive their child's first preference for Religious Education. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work towards another successful year of learning and growth.
